Objectives
The on-call physiotherapy service at The Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow (RHCG) provides emergency respiratory physiotherapy from;
- Monday to Friday 4:30pm – 8:30am
- Saturday and Sunday
- Bank Holidays including Christmas and New Year
This pathway provides guidance to clinicians on the criteria and process for referring to the service.
Scope
All children and young people admitted to Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow that are deteriorating or at risk of deterioration and would benefit from emergency respiratory physiotherapy input outside of core hours RHCG physiotherapy hours.
Audience
This pathway is for healthcare clinicians that would refer to the on-call physiotherapy service.
